Formula 1 Duluth

This project was based around a fictional event that I designed. In this case it was if Formula 1 decided to add another American course in the schedule, and what that would possibly look like. I created a poster, website mockups, banner mockups, and a brochure.

This was the poster I designed for this event. I took great inspiration from some old vintage Monaco race posters for Formula 1.

They had lots of colorful lines to convey the type of energy people would feel if they attended one of these races. Lot's of face paced motion.

In the background I decided to add a couple of Duluth landmarks that the course would be racing around like the Ariel Lift Bridge in Canal Park and Amsoil Arena. Then I added the trademark Formula 1 logo and typeface in the top right to create a nice header.

This was one of the mockups I made for the event. I redesigned their events page on the Formula 1 website. I put a nice washed picture on the top of the screen with the heading of the race over it.

Under that I added schedules and the course layout and map.

On the phone I also added a picture of a Formula 1 car racing in front of Amsoil Arena on the Official Formula 1 Instagram page.

The top of the mockup also includeds the logo I made for this specific race, using blue matted colors that represent Duluth's Lake Superior.

Here are the pages in my brochure that I made for this event. The first layout on the left has the track map that runs around Amsoil Arena and down Canal Park. There are also colored sections that represent the different seating options over the course. I put a header on all pages to get some theme going throughout all the pages.

The second set of pages had all the racers from each team last season on it, giving people a nice layout of how many teams and racers are on the track and what colors to tie them to. I also added the weekend schedule, which is a normal schedule for a race to follow in Formula 1, so it's pretty orginized. I also planned out some meet and greet times in Amsoil Arena.
